The 0.5.0 update, also known as the Cursed Possessions update, is a content update to the game that was released on 10 December 2021.[1] This update adds several equipment related to interacting with the ghost, one new ghost, as well as a rework of the existing ghosts' behaviours.

Cursed possessions[]

- 1 of 6 items will spawn per contract, with several spawnpoints
- Will trade sanity or other negative effects for information or uses
- When activated, can sometimes cause the ghost to sing along to the melody, which can make identifying the ghost room easier.
- Used to summon the ghost, leading up to a hunt
- Contains ten randomly-selected cards, with positive or negative effects
- Can be used to locate the current ghost room, at the cost of severe sanity drain the longer it is used
