A Car Alarm is one of the map features found in some maps.
Mechanics[]
All suburban houses have a garage containing at least one car or vehicle. Some houses have more than one vehicle in the garage; only one of these can be interacted with by players and ghosts. The ghost can randomly set off the vehicle alarm, following standard interaction rules. This will create an EMF Level 2 reading, with a 25% chance of it being EMF Level 5 instead if the ghost has this evidence. The alarm cannot be activated during hunts.
The alarm can be deactivated by the players if they find the vehicle key, which is always located in the first room when entering the house. Any player can then interact with the vehicle to cause it to beep, and also deactivate the alarm if it is active.
Tips[]
When taking an interaction photo of a set-off car alarm, the middle point of the bonnet needs to be centered in the photo.
