42 Edgefield Road (or simply Edgefield) is a small map in Phasmophobia. It is a two story, six-bedroom house with a basement, with a congested, claustrophobic environment. Despite the thin hallways, there are plenty of hiding spaces during a hunt, as a room to hide in is always a few paces away.

Its tight hallways can often make it difficult to see past fellow investigators, and a team member may be encouraged to set up Video Cameras and observe key investigative details from the van.

Structure

Edgefield contains six bedrooms (including a nursery), six toilets, a dining room, a garage, and a basement, among other rooms.

This map has 1 teddy bear in Purple Bedroom on the second floor.

Layout tips

• Both the basement hallway and the storage room separated by a door is considered a single "Basement" room.
• For every bedroom on the second floor, the game considers both the room with the bed and the attached bathroom, if any, to be a single room.

Key hiding spots and strategies

There are 6 closets and 2 sets of lockers in Edgefield. 1 "sanctioned" furniture-based hiding spot is also available. Depending on the difficulty, some of these hiding spots will be filled with bulky items, preventing players from hiding in them:

• Amateur: None
• Intermediate: ≤ 3
• Professional: ≤ 5
• Nightmare/Insanity: ≤ 7
• 3 player game: +1 open hiding spot
• 4 player game: +2 open hiding spots

Additional hiding spots on multiplayer is overriden when "Number of hiding places" is set to None

Looping the ghost may be performed around the living room couch.

Bone locations

Bones spawn randomly, but will only spawn in areas that a ghost can also walk on.

Examples

A large bone in a rug in Utility. Smaller bones spawned like this may be easier to miss.

The bones of a foot in the Small Blue Bedroom on the second floor.

Cursed Possession locations

The Haunted Mirror spawns in front of the stairs leading up to the second floor in the Hallway.

The Music Box spawns on the table with a lamp in the Living Room.

The Ouija Board spawns under a metal rack in the Utility.

The Summoning Circle spawns in the segmented room of the Basement.

The Tarot Cards spawn on the table at the front of the Foyer.

The Voodoo Doll spawns on the bed in the Large Blue Bedroom.

The Monkey Paw spawns in the Nursery on top of the blue dresser.

Trivia

• Before the Purple Bedroom's toilet had a sink, it was up to the toilet user to decide how to wash their hands, if at all.
• There used to be a bug where taking a photo of the trash can at the front of the house resulted in a Dead Body photo.
