6 Tanglewood Drive (or simply Tanglewood) is a small map in Phasmophobia. It is a small single-story home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Tanglewood can often make for a swift investigation due to its small size, but the open floor plan and only three accessible coat-closets can cause it to be very dangerous during a hunt.

Structure

Tanglewood has three bedrooms (including a nursery), two toilets, a garage, and a basement, among other rooms.

This map has 1 Teddy Bear in the Nursery.

Layout tips

• The "Master Bedroom" consists of the room of the bedroom itself, the attached bathroom, and the attached closet.
• The "Foyer" consists of both the hallway starting from the front door until the closet at the end of the hall leading into the living room, and the hallway parallel to it connecting "Boy Bedroom", "Nursery", and "Main Bathroom".

There are 3 closets and 1 set of lockers in Tanglewood, as well as 2 "sanctioned" furniture-based hiding spots that can be available to the player:

• In the nursery behind the the crib
• In the basement behind 2 pieces of plywood

In total, there are 6 "sanctioned" hiding spots. Depending on the difficulty, some of these hiding spots will be filled with bulky items, preventing players from hiding in them:

• Amateur: None
• Intermediate: ≤ 2
• Professional: ≤ 3
• Nightmare/Insanity: ≤ 4
• 3 player game: +1 open hiding spot
• 4 player game: +2 open hiding spots

Additional hiding spots on multiplayer is overriden when "Number of hiding places" is set to None

Another decent, but unofficial hiding spot is in the nursery. It is opposite of the crib hiding spot, behind the changing table.

Looping the ghost may be performed around the kitchen island, dining table, or the car in the garage. Where needed, the player may hide at the rear of the car, or crouch behind the kitchen island.

Bone locations

Bones spawn randomly, but will only spawn in areas that a ghost can also walk on.

Examples

A long bone in the rug in the Living Room, which may be easy to miss.

A thin bone on the edge of the doorway between the Master Bedroom and its attached toilet, which may be easy to miss.

A long bone in the Main Bathroom

A skull on the rug in the Dining Room

A long bone over the shoes on the Master Bedroom Closet

Cursed Possession locations

The Haunted Mirror spawns on the wall next to the Master Bedroom door in the Living Room.

The Music Box spawns on the shelf in the Nursery.

The Ouija Board spawns on the coffee table at the far end of the Basement.

The Summoning Circle spawns near the stairs of the Basement.

The Tarot Cards spawn on the end table by the window in the Living Room.

The Voodoo Doll spawns on the trash can in the Garage.

The Monkey Paw spawns in a cabinet in the Dining Room.

Tips

• One can use video cameras to look for Ghost Orbs in Boy Bedroom through the window before the player even enters.

Trivia

The potato in the kitchen cabinet.

• Tanglewood Street House was the first map to be created.
• A potato easter egg can be found in one of the kitchen cabinets; this is a reference to the popular content creator PsychoHypnotic.
• When turned on, before 0.9.0, the computer in Boy Bedroom used to show the name "Thomas Wilson"; this was a reference to a previously implemented feature where the players were required to find the name of the ghost by searching the building instead of having it given to them from the start. This was later scrapped as it was deemed too hard for players to do so on larger maps. The name "Nancy" above the baby crib in the Nursery is also a reference to this mechanic.
