The main menu board allows the player to select different game modes (singleplayer/multiplayer lobbies or training), access options and view credits. It also shows the given player's ID Card as well as available Daily and Weekly Tasks.
In the bottom left corner of the board, the player's Unity ID is shown.
Loading screen tips[]
While loading into the map, the loading screen displays a random tip about gameplay:

| Tip | Remarks |

| Be careful of the dark, the Ghost can sense you | The ghost's vision remains the same throughout the game. However, the player's vision is reduced to 1 meter if there is no source of light. This tip most likely encourages players to never take advantage of darkness (particularly during hunts). |
| Don't stay in the dark too long | Staying in any unlit area drains sanity, even if the player has its own source of light. The only exception to this are candles. The lower the sanity, the more likely a ghost is to manifest itself or start hunting. |
| Keep your sanity high by staying in the light | |
| Ghosts have been known to stalk their victims in the dark | Light does not affect general ghost behaviour other than their likeliness to perform interactions. Some ghosts do have a special ability that allows them to "stalk" the player but the lighting does not affect this. |

| Running isn't always the best option | Some ghosts move faster than the player can run even without any customizeable buffs; for example, it is impossible to outrun a Moroi at its maximum speed. |

| Watch what you are saying, the Ghosts are listening | Ghosts can detect players talking if their voice chat is active, while the Yokai has a higher hunt sanity threshold if players are talking near it. In addition, saying recognised phrases near all ghosts has a chance of causing them to perform an interaction. |
