The Sound Monitor is a screen in the Van labelled "Sound Sensors". The screen will list up to 4 separate sound sensors in a horizontal bar graph format. When placing sound sensors inside a playable area, it will label the sensor on the sound monitor according to in which area it was placed. Sound sensors pick up the sound level in an area around it, indicated by the associated orange graphic of their radius on the Site Map.
Sounds picked up on the sensors will show as a yellow bar indicated in percentage, depending on the volume of the noise detected, and it will play a live audio feed into the Van, potentially allowing for Evidence such as EMF Level 5 and Ghost Writing without having to be inside the building.
0.1 dB picked up on a Parabolic Microphone is equivalent to 1% on the Sound Monitor.
Using sound sensors and keeping an eye on the sound monitor can be useful in finding the ghost's location early.
